A Rough Start to Flu Season

October 9, 2019

Flu patients have been turning up in hospitals since early September, so we know several cities already have flu circulating. While people with weakened immune systems are usually the first patients, as the weather gets colder and drier more people will catch the flu. Make sure you’re prepared with immune supporting colloidal silver

This year is off to a rough start—in addition to being early and Australia’s flu season being bad (there’s is during our summer and predictive of our flu season), testing has shown that only 2 of 4 flu strains in this year’s flu shot match.

To stay ahead of flu season, make sure you’re doing the following:

-Follow news of outbreaks, in your own city or anywhere you travel. While you may not be able to avoid them at work, you can avoid high-risk spots like restaurants and retail during heavy flu periods.

-Run your humidifier. Humidity makes airborne flu transmission harder.

-Wash your hands frequently. Clean hands help prevent not just flu, but other winter illnesses like Norovirus.

-Support your immune system. Healthy habits make for strong immune system, while an off day (no sleep, skipping healthy meals, etc.) might give illness an in. You can add an extra layer of immune support with colloidal silver

If you get flu symptoms (cough, fever, aches, fatigue in an extreme and sudden way) stay home and rest. Pull out some soup and other clear liquids and support your healing until it’s over.

Even after flu symptoms abate, you’re still at risk for secondary health problems (heart attacks and respiratory complications), so continue to support and protect your health. Plus, you can get the flu more than once (alternatively, getting a cold or other respiratory illness right before or after the flu will be extra hard on even a healthy body).

Stay alert and prepared as we face another long, hard flu season. Give yourself extra support with colloidal silver
