Early Flu Activity

November 22, 2019

Flu season has been working itself up for a while. Now, the CDC has said that we’re seeing the most flu activity that we’ve seen in the last decade for this time of year. Normally, flu season roars from December through February fueled by bad, dry weather, short days, and holiday travel. The past few years have seen worse than average flu seasons, and we’re starting to see signs that his year might be another one. Make sure you’re supporting your immune system with colloidal silver now through the end of flu season and beyond.

30 states already have early flu activity, and next week holiday travelers will unfortunately help spread flu as they go through airports (getting on a plane is associated with a 1 in 4 risk of respiratory illness the week after). Handwashing, immune support, and general self-care will be key to travelers and everyone else over the next few weeks!

Having early flu season like this means there’s a good chance we need to be ready for a long haul through the rest of flu season, which can go as long as June (but is usually over by March). Last year we had a unique double flu season, with two flu strains and two peaks. Adding to the prediction of a bad flu year is Australia’s flu season, which happens over our summer and somewhat predicts what we will see. Australia had a bad flu season, so there’s some expectation that we are more likely to as well.

You can use colloidal silver multiple ways to support yourself through flu season. Start by using it as a daily supplement for your immune system. As needed, get more direct support for your respiratory system. You can add a drop to your neti pot or do a deeper rinse using our Sinus Flooding Kit. Or use colloidal silver in a nebulizer to give your lungs more direct support. (Of course, always make sure you’re not allergic to silver in any way before using).
