You can get more Omega-3s from good fats like olive oil, avocado, and fish or krill oil. Unfortunately, avocados are only offer a fraction of the recommended amount of Omega-3s, and olive oil is often used in cooking, which denatures a lot of its nutritional benefits. Than there’s fish oil vs. krill oil. Thanks to mercury and other contaminants, recommendations are to limit fish intake to once or twice a week (depending on other health factors). But krill is lower on the food chain and hasn’t accumulated the toxins yet, so it’s a better choice for a daily boost of Omega-3s. If you’re getting your Omega-3s in supplement form, krill oil is easier to digest, too, providing more easily absorbed nutrition and fewer gastrointestinal problems (like fishy burps!).
