INSIDE THIS ARTICLE:

There are lots of ways to use colloidal silver. It’s not uncommon, though, for some of that exploration to veer into ways to make it easier to use colloidal silver, leading to questions like “can you mix colloidal silver with juice?”.

Yes, with a warning: juice is also a colloid and might make the silver clump or fall out of suspension, making it less useful. It’s not something that has been tested to say for sure, and there are lots of different kinds of juice.

If your ultimate complaint is the flavor or you are just looking for ways to make taking colloidal silver easier, we’ve got better options.

What is Colloidal Silver?

Bear with me if you already know what colloidal silver is because this is actually pretty important if you’re struggling with the taste:

True, pure colloidal silver is just silver nanoparticles suspended in water. Those particles are (or at least the vast majority are) NOT ionic. And there are no additives to force it into being a colloid, a special process creates the true colloid (rather than an ionic solution, silver protein, or another compound).

Can you mix colloidal silver with juice? It shouldn’t do harm, but there’s a risk you’ll ruin the colloidal silver and lose some of the benefits.

The Few Who Taste Colloidal Silver

Genetics make it so that the same food will taste different to different people. Some people get the taste of soap when they eat cilantro, for instance!

A few people have a gene that makes the flavor of colloidal silver stronger for them. BUT—for the vast majority of people colloidal silver tastes like water! If your “colloidal silver” tastes bad, make sure you’re not taking ionic silver or another product putting “colloid” in its name (but not in the fine print!).

Can you mix colloidal silver with juice? Most people don’t need to!

Solving the Taste Problem:

If you’ve confirmed that you are using a true colloidal silver but you are still getting a metallic taste, feel free to find out if you can mix colloidal silver with juice. But there may be other solutions!

Always Choosing True Colloidal Silver

Before struggling with taste and if you can mix colloidal silver with juice, confirm it’s true colloidal silver.

If you need help identifying a true colloidal silver, you can check a couple of ways.

At a glance, true colloidal silver will reflect the light off the suspended silver particles (which won’t happen in a metallic tasting ionic silver solution)—it should be a dark gray, bluish color.

While many, many products use “colloidal” in the product name, many immediately clarify in smaller print that they aren’t true colloids, they’ve got other ingredients or qualities. You can also check the ingredients—the only things listed should be pure nanosilver particles and water.

Can You Mix Colloidal Silver with Juice?

If you can really taste colloidal silver or if you just love juice, let’s explore if you can mix colloidal silver with juice.

Orange and other juices are colloids, a suspension of different things in the water. What’s adding one more colloid? Can you mix colloidal silver with juice?

Without precise equipment, it’s hard to say what will happen—will the colloidal silver fall out of suspension? Or clump? Or otherwise, destroy your drink?

The bottom line is that it’s probably harmless, with a tiny chance that it’s a bad idea.

Other Ideas: Can You Mix Colloidal Silver with…?

If you need to get away from the taste of colloidal silver but don’t want to experiment with juice, consider just adding a little to a glass of water (just not ice water).

If colloidal silver gets too cold, it will fall out of suspension (so no cold juice or water), so avoid ice water or frosty juice.

But many people add a little colloidal silver to their pet’s water bowls to share the support, and there’s no reason you can’t do the same for yourself if you don’t like the taste!

Avoiding the Taste: Other Ways to Use Colloidal Silver

If you can’t get past the taste of real colloidal silver because you have sensitive taste buds, consider that there are other ways to use colloidal silver:

-Colloidal silver is safe to use in a nebulizer

-You can add a small amount of colloidal silver to your neti pot for added immune support

-You can do a small sinus rinse (with the addition of xylitol for pH, you’ll likely also avoid the metallic flavor if you normally taste it).

-Colloidal silver is well-known skin support and can be sprayed on skin or added to a bandage.

Once you’ve decided if you will or can mix colloidal silver with juice, make sure you have enough on hand for however you use it with a 4-pack of colloidal silver.
