Ready for winter? Here in Colorado snow often begins in October. Sledding, skiing, hot cocoa, and cozy nights. But flu season often starts in October, too, which means there’s a lot to prepare for, because you never know when the first storm will blow in.
Don’t get caught off guard. It’s no good running to the store when you feel like death (and it’s not safe to drive then, either), and waiting on a delivery isn’t much of an improvement.
So stock up now! What do you need when you’re sick? How about ready to cook freezer meals (chicken soup and other crockpot meals that also add humidity). Chop and freeze the ingredients of your favorite recipe, ready to pour into a crockpot in layers.
How about a hefty supply of tissues? A machine washable blanket? And of course, ways to boost yourself up.
When you’re congested, it can be hard to sleep. Your throat can get irritated from all the post nasal dripping, and if you’re really unlucky, the infection can spread to your lungs.
So be ready to clear it out before bed with a sinus flooding kit. Flooding the sinuses soaks out the goop, so that it can loosen and wash out. Perfect when you just need some sleep.
What else? Immune support, of course! Make sure you have enough colloidal silver on hand. Most people take more if they get sick, so if you’re already taking it, have extra on hand. If you take it at the first sign of sickness, that’s another reason to have extra on hand. If you haven’t already been using it, I can say from experience that it goes fast—make sure everyone in your household will have enough. (Try a 10 pack for a better deal).
Another reason to be ready? Shipping prices go up in the winter with the threat of freezing, which ruins a true colloid (so they’re shiped.
What part of winter are you most looking forward to?
