INSIDE THIS ARTICLE:

Vitamin B12 is one of the nutrients that people are more commonly a little short on. Getting the minimum isn’t always enough, since after all, it’s just the minimum—and some people are taller, wider, or just digest differently. One of the most common signs of needing a little more of vitamin B12? Fatigue.

Fatigue can be a fairly common problem, but there are some other common problems that, when paired with it, might lead you to adding a little more B12 into your diet. If your brain feels a little run down (you mix and match words, like combing “drink water” into “drwater” or swapping a “drink” for “eat” because you can’t find “drink”, or if you’re typing you might commonly leave out letters), you might need the cognitive boost of vitamin B12. Or you might have more physical sensations, like dizziness. Things might feel heavier, or you might experience pins and needles more often.

Vitamin B12 is important for nerve function, red blood cell health, and a lot more. If you’re not getting enough, it might get spread thin around your body, leading to more subtle signs that you’d feel healthier and happier with just a little extra. Everywhere from your eyes and brain to limbs might be a little off, and it might just need a little more B12 to fix the course.

Found primarily in animal products like meat, eggs, and dairy, Vitamin B12 is also commonly added to foods to help keep people from reaching more severe symptoms of B12 deficiency. Fortified foods aren’t as bioavailable as natural foods, and often aren’t as healthy (cereal, for instance). If you want a vegetarian or just healthier way to get a B Vitamin boost into your diet, try a high-quality supplement. If you’re already taking a daily multivitamin (like Vita One or Mito Cardia), then good job. You’re making sure you get your daily dose of Vitamin B12. You can also get more of Vitamin B12 and the other B Vitamins into your diet by taking CoEnZyme B-Complex.

Vitamin B12 is another example of the benefit of covering your nutritional bases with a daily multivitamin, because even if you feel just a little bit off, it can add up over days and days of it!
